magicMESH+: Soft Support with a Fusible “Stick-With-Me” Upgrade!

Love the soft, no-show support of magicMESH… and wish it would stay perfectly in place while you hoop? magicMESH+ Fusible Embroidery Stabilizer is a soft cut-away mesh with a built-in fusible layer, so one quick press fuses it right where you want it. It’s especially handy for stretchy fabrics and garments, giving reliable support without adding bulk.

Bonus: magicMESH+ is also a favorite for embroidered greeting cards—the fusible backing helps keep paper smooth and stable in the hoop, so your stitching stays neat and your card looks beautifully professional.

Fuse it. Hoop it. Stitch it—magicMESH+ keeps things smooth, secure, and stitch-ready.

➕ How to Use magicMESH+ (tap to expand)
  1. Cut to Size – Trim a piece of magicMESH+ about 2" larger than your hoop for full coverage and stability.
  2. Flip Your Fabric – Turn fabric wrong side up and place on your pressing surface.
  3. Position It Right – Place magicMESH+ shiny side down against the back of your fabric, centered over the design area.
  4. Press to Fuse – Use a dry iron on Cotton/Linen setting (about 340–360°F) and press for 10–15 seconds.
  5. Card-Making Tip – When stitching on card stock, fuse magicMESH+ to the back of the card front, then hoop gently to avoid bending. For extra support, fuse a second layer.
  6. Steam Note – A steam iron can be used, but steam may cause bubbling—test first.
  7. Need Extra Support? – For detailed or heavy-fill designs, fuse a second layer on top of the first.
    • Pro Tip: Rotate the second layer 45° for added stability.
  8. Hoop It Up – Make sure magicMESH+ completely fills the hooped area for even stabilization while stitching.
  9. Pro Tip – On knits, fleece, terry cloth, or textured fabrics, add a topper to prevent stitches from sinking and keep them crisp.
  10. Let’s Stitch! – You’re ready to embroider your design.
➕ Removing magicMESH+ (tap to expand)
  1. Unhoop Your Project – Once embroidery is complete, remove your fabric from the hoop.
  2. Lay It Flat – Place your embroidered piece stabilizer-side up on a hard, flat pressing surface.
  3. Warm It Up (If Needed) – If it doesn’t peel easily, reheat with a medium iron to loosen the adhesive.
  4. Peel Gently – Slowly lift away excess stabilizer from the fabric, stopping at the edges of the embroidery.
  5. Trim Carefully – Turn project right side up. Lift and fold fabric away from the stabilizer and trim close to the stitches (but not too close!).
  6. Multiple Layers? – Trim one layer at a time for the cleanest finish.
